The goal of our Native American organization is to support the Native American community. We also would like to educate communities about the Native American & Taino culture and history.
The National Alliance of Native Americans has various methods to reach out to the American public to educate and enlighten as to Native American/ Taino problems, and to promote closer relationships between the American Indian and the general public.
Our activities/programs have included:
Native American cultural and educational programs at public schools in New York and Long Island.
Native American and jazz performances at Flushing Town Hall and Queens Borough Hall supported by former Queens Borough President Claire Schulman.
Native American Taino educational performances and DooWop programs at St. John's University, Queensborough College, and libraries throughout the Tri-State area.
A Native American performance for the St. Albans Veterans Administration, Queens, N.Y. MC Mr. Adolph Alwood, guest speakers Mr. George and Ed Tooks, host drum group, The Four Winds. This was the first Native American program presented for the Veterans Administration in Queens.
